Father of the Groom
To describe Nilays Dad, we have to start with wisdom, knowledge, kindness, calmness, empathy, logic, honesty, hardworking, etc etc etc., a list which can be almost unending. No wonder he is Nilays greatest advisor. Sometimes through Indian fables, and sometimes through logical arguments, and occasionally just using a look, he will make sure you find your way to the correct answer with just a touch of guidance. If anyone has ever seen Nilay figure something out instantly, now you know who shaped his mind. PS, when sitting next to him, no slouching allowed.
Mrs Sandhya Parikh
Mother of the Groom
One of the biggest things which confuses me and drew me to Nilay was his kindness and thoughtfulness towards absolutely everyone with absolute selflessness, until I met his Mom, and it all made sense. She takes that to another level. She brings a warmth and love to everyone around her through not only her cooking, which is to die for, but in every aspect of her life. She checked in on me multiple times a day when I got Covid, made sure I got home safe after my flights, packed me snacks to take home, made sure I was comfortable when I came to a family wedding and even helps me sneak RLB extra food behind Nilays back. Even when I went to her house to help her when she broke her arm, she was the one who made me tea while I was working. And from what I have observed, this is how she treats everyone. If you ask Nilay, what personality he got from his mom he will say "sarcasm", but everyone who knows him and his mom knows the truth.
Mr. Mayank Desai
Father of the Bride
He is a self-made man with a standard Bollywood-Esque beginning - he left his village alone with no money and made it big in the city. Ushma gets her kindness from him! In India, there is a saying guests are as equal to God, if you ever visit my parent's home you will experience that, as he will make sure you are treated most generously. When you meet him, he will ask you about your friends/family, and there's a high probability that he knows some of them as well.
Mrs. Mayuri Desai
Mother of the Bride
She is pious, loves cooking, and is Ushma's best friend. She has worked in Pidilite for about 25 years and has a strong interest in investing but don't talk to her about cryptocurrency ;) Ushma says while growing up she has seen her barely sleep. She says I don’t know how did she manage with two growing kids, a full-time job, and always handling and managing a big social circle. She taught me to stay true to myself and always remember where I came from.
Mrs. Shwetal Parikh-Shah
Groom's Eldest Sister
Shwetal is a force of nature. Professionally accomplished and successful, it's easy to figure out where her kids get their drive and brilliance from. She is perfectly organized and is the go to party planner of the family. If she gives you advice, make sure you follow it, because it will change your life.
Mr. Bhavin Shah
Groom's Brother in law/ Shwetal's husband
He is the funniest guy in the family, and that is saying a lot because this is a funny family, and it's easy to see where his kids get their sense of humor. You can put him at any party and he will blend in and make everyone feel comfortable. He is fit too and is always convincing people to get more fit with him.

Groom's Elder Sister
She thinks she is gangsta but in real life she is just a big softie, amazing mom to 3 boys, and has endless energy. We have no idea where she finds the time but her social circle would make you wonder if she ever sleeps.
Mr. Rahul Shah
Groom's Brother in law/Ruchi's husband
He is very chill, amazing cook and super helpful. If you need help or something needs to get done, he is your go to person. You definitely will find responses any time day or night.
Mr. Tapan Desai
Bride's Brother
He is an engineer by degree, Program Manager by profession, and confused perpetually. The only thing greater than Tapans list of ongoing projects, is his curiosity about anything and everything. With wisdom far beyond his years, be sure to follow his news letter, podcast, or just hit him up for perspective or advice. He also loves to travel, read, give free gyaan about life and is a masterful cook. Honestly, we don't know how he finds the time.

Honor Attendant
While our little fur baby is unable to attend due to quarantine restrictions, he will be eagerly awaiting his parent's return to the USA so that he can wish them congratulations in person. He is the most valuable member to both bride and the groom and everybody's sweetheart.
Shalin & Shana
Groom's Niece and Nephew
Shana has painting skills of a master, the singing voice of an angel, and the dance grace of a fairy and is Nilay's Dhinglee (doll). Shalin is fearless in sports, a gifted athlete and sometimes just way too clever and mischievous. No doubt who he picked that last part up from. Did we mention they are both great musicians. The list just keeps going on and on.
