In January of 2015, Kim saw Nik out one night in Lawrence while he was working. She approached Nik and they chatted for a while. They stayed in contact off and on for 6 years, meanwhile Kim traveled the world and Nik adventured the outdoors throughout United States. In January of 2021, Kim began visiting Nik in Phoenix and their journey took a new step. They have since moved and lived together in Colorado, Arizona, Missouri, and now back in Lawrence, Kansas where it all began. This New Years they traveled to the Ojo Santa Fe Spa in New Mexico where Nik proposed and Kim said Yes. They then went and eloped down in Eureka Springs Arkansas on April 22, 2025!
