Old San Juan, also known as Viejo San Juan, is a historic district in San Juan, Puerto Rico that's known for its rich history, vibrant culture, and romantic atmosphere. Some of our favorites: La Factoria - cocktail bar Castillo El Morro- large fortress and citadel in the historic district Barrachina- the first piña colada was made here "allegedly" St. Germain Bistro- great brunch spot El Jibarito- authentic PR food Pirilo Pizza- artisanal pizza and beer
If you're heading to El Yunque, you can't miss the Kioskos de Luquillo. The Luquillo Kiosks are comprised of a row of around 60 family-owned kiosks selling food, drinks, and souvenirs. Visitors to the kiosks will find that they vary in style, taste, and price. They're all open air, and while some face the street, others have beautiful views of the beach. Restaurants we love are Nativa Restaurant and Terruño.
Discover BACARDI's history through a guided tour, become a rum maestro with the Rum Tasting Tour, or master the Mojito with an interactive Mixology Class!
Plan a day trip to the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System. You'll find trails leading to beautiful waterfalls and enchanting mountain views.
If you're staying around San Juan, we definitely recommend popping into the T-Mobile District. With over a dozen places to eat, an urban park, open spaces, and more, this trendy spot is ideal for experiencing Puerto Rican art, flavors, rum culture, music, dance, adventure, and overall vibrancy.
Toro Verde Adventure Park is located about an hour and 45 minutes from San Juan. Book a zip lining tour like The Monster or rappelling, or even the Toro Bikes – Guinness' record-breaking attractions at Toro Verde Adventure Park in Orocovis. There, you'll enjoy the panoramic views from a bird's eye perspective as you soar through the lines and cables across the park.
