Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

It is always best to arrive at a Catholic wedding ceremony at least 20-30 mins early. This gives you time to settle in and spend time in prayer before the Mass. You are welcome to join us in praying the Rosary at 12:30pm. You won't want to miss the beautiful prelude music to follow!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We request that all guests wear formal attire that corresponds with the norms of Christian Modesty. Men may wear dress pants with a jacket and tie. Women may wear a variety of options which may include pants, skirts, or dresses with reasonable necklines and hems at or below the knee.

Question

What do I do when I enter the Church?

Answer

Our ceremony will be a Catholic Nuptial Mass. We believe that Jesus Christ is truly present in the Holy Eucharist: Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. For this reason, we request for all guests to conduct themselves in a manner of prayer and reverence in the Church, before, during, and after the ceremony. You may bow or genuflect to show reverence before you enter your pew. We understand that this is an exciting day, but please refrain from conversations in the Church.

Question

What should I do for the reception of Communion?

Answer

Only those who are actively practicing the Catholic Faith (living out the minimum obligations outlined in the Precepts of the Catholic Church*) and in a state of grace (free from Mortal Sin) are permitted to recieve the Holy Eucharist. We request that all non-Catholic Christians, non-Christians, and non-practicing Catholics remain seated at the time of Communion. The Church acknowledges the distressing reality of the disunity within the Body of Christ among the different Christian denominations. We ask those who remain seated to join us in silent prayer for Christian Unity. *see CCC 2041-2043

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

No. We request prayerful and respectful participation in the Mass for all present, for the glory of God and reverence for the sacred liturgy. We hired a professional photographer and videographer to capture the special moments of the ceremony in a reverent manner. During our solemn Nuptial Mass, we would like to see your smiling faces, not your phones.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than March 11.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to the limits of our reception hall and our desire for an intimate ceremony, we ask that you do not bring a date unless you were specifically given a plus one on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

Due to the reasons listed above, we have been selective throughout our invitation process. Please refer to your invitation regarding this matter. If your children are invited, please make sure they are respectful and well behaved, especially during the Mass. Thank you!

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We're registered right here on Zola! Pop on over to our registry tab to find products from various websites all in one place. Thank you for helping us begin our married life together!

Question

What is the parking situation?

Answer

Do not fret! Both our ceremony and reception locations have plenty of space for parking. After the reception, you may leave your car at Lauxmont if you are unable to drive. We respectfully ask that each guest has a designated driver or an uber arranged if they plan to drink. Please don't put yourself or others in danger. Thank you!
