The short answer is YES. While we will not have any sort of verification process, we trust that everyone attending will be FULLY VACCINATED (and boostered, if eligible). While we respect everyone's decision over their own body, we politely ask that those who are unvaccinated or unwilling to get vaccinated refrain from attending. Attending this large event being unvaccinated puts not only yourself at significant risk, but also many of our loved ones who will be attending, especially those who are older or have weakened immune systems. We want everyone to feel comfortable (like not having to wear a mask) and have a good time, and unnecessary risk prevents that. If you feel so inclined, take it up with us using the information at the top of the page. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
No
We do not plan to require the use of masks as everyone attending should be fully vaccinated (see above), however you are more than welcome to bring and wear one if you feel more comfortable.
Use your best judgement. While we would LOVE to see each and every one of you on our special day, if you are feeling unwell it would probably be best to err on the side of caution and refrain from attending. You can always reach out to us if you have concerns.
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate everyone that is invited to the reception at the ceremony space, therefore the ceremony will be a smaller, more intimate event. When you RSVP, your invitation should explain whether or not you are also invited to the ceremony, which will also be made clear because you will have to RSVP to each event separately. If you have any confusion about this, please don't hesitate to reach out to us using the information at the top of the page.
Cocktail Attire: Cocktail dresses to semi-formal or dark jackets, suits and slacks. You can also find the proper attire by clicking on the 'Schedule' tab and reviewing the event information there.
Please go to the 'RSVP' tab where you will be prompted to then enter the full name of someone in your primary party. You will then either have to click on the group that matches your name or you will go straight to the RSVP portion and associated questions.
When there are multiple last names or multiple first and last names, you will be prompted to click on the invite that matches and contains the name of everyone in your group (if more than one person is on your invite) or will contain your city of residence if that information has been collected.
First try searching for just your last name to see if you are able to find yourself that way, and if the problem persists please contact us using the information at the top of the page.
Most likely. On this website, the ceremony and reception have to be listed as separate events for accurate guest counts. If you are being prompted to RSVP twice, this means that you have been invited to both events (ceremony and reception), and if you are only being prompted to RSVP once, this means that you are being invited to the reception.
A few possible reasons. This could be that you have been allowed to bring a guest, partner whose name to us is not known, or child(ren) or family whose name(s) to us are unknown. We ask that you edit these names to reflect the names of those that will be attending (click on the pencil next to each name to edit). If you are not in need of these additional invites, simply mark them as 'will not attend'.
Yes, you can ask. There is a prompt for this when you are filling out the RSVP that asks if you need additional invites. You can also contact us using the information at the top of the page. Keep in mind that this should be restricted to additional family and/or long term partners only. If we approve your request we will notify you to update your RSVP for the additional person.
Please do NOT bring additional guests without first requesting additional invites on your RSVP or contacting us using the information at the top of the page. Weddings take a lot of careful planning and guests being unaccounted for can cause a lot of undue stress. We thank you for your cooperation in advance.
If you have any need to change your RSVP details, simply contact us using the information at the top of the page and we can make any necessary corrections.
To allow all wedding guests, including parents, a night of relaxation and uninhibited, well mannered frivolity, we respectfully ask that no children (those being under the age of 12) attend the reception. Exceptions can be considered upon request (contact information at the top of the page) and your invite will reflect if your children are already excluded from this rule.
That should go without saying. However, the bar will be closed during dinner (approximately 830pm-10pm) and at 1am for the night.
It wouldn't be party without it! The dance floor is huge and music will be brought to you by our very own Cormac Haverty-Dennis and Declan Kramper! You will certainly find us on the dance floor throughout the evening.
The music will be entirely from our premade playlist, but we have included a song request question in the RSVP section to give us some ideas!
Yes, we plan to make a seat map of all guests attending, which is why it is imperative that everyone who wishes to attend RSVP properly and communicate any requests for extra invites in advance.
The only prearranged transportation will be for members of the wedding party. For personal transportation, we recommend traveling by car, if possible, or using a rideshare service. Carpooling is also highly encouraged, and we would be happy to help arrange transportation for you either through friends and family or through a black car service that we are in contact with.
As this is a very suburban area, there is no reliable public transit options such as buses, trains, or trolleys. For possible transportation suggestions, please refer to the question above.
There is ample free parking available for the reception. As the ceremony takes place in a private residence, there is street parking available which should be able to accommodate, but it might be useful to carpool or arrange transportation.
Midway Airport is by far the closest airport of Chicago's main airports. As a tip, this is a hub for Southwest Airlines.
As far as recommendations go, there are a few nearby hotels listed under the 'Travel' tab that directly link to those hotel websites. Keep in mind, there are more options than those listed. At this time, we have not gotten a block of rooms at any hotel yet, however that is subject to change, especially if enough guests express an interest in staying at particular hotels.
Absolutely! Your kindness and generosity is invaluably appreciated. We do simply ask that any and all gifts given in person be of a monetary nature as our current life stage and small Northeast apartment makes the giving and transportation of physical gifts or objects extremely difficult. Again, we cannot thank you enough for supporting our future.
