Things To Do

Balboa Island

Newport Beach, CA

A 15 min walk or short uber/lyft from the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach. Walk the 1.6-mile loop around Balboa Island—great homes, harbor views, and sunset spots. Be sure to take a stroll down Marine Ave where you will find some great restaurants, coffee, and cute shops, and you cannot visit without having a famous frozen banana from Dad's. Take the short Balboa Island Ferry to the Balboa Peninsula where you will find the Fun Zone, Newport Beach Pier, and many more restaurants and shops.

Laguna Beach

Laguna Beach, CA

Laguna Beach offers a relaxed, artsy coastal feel where guests can stroll the oceanfront paths of Heisler Park, explore tide pools and dramatic cliffs at Treasure Island, visit the whimsical Pirate Tower at Victoria Beach, take in sweeping views from Crescent Bay Point Park, or hike to panoramic overlooks at Top of the World — a perfect blend of beaches, art, and scenery for a wedding‑weekend escape.

Crystal Cove

Newport Beach, CA 92657

Beautiful oceanside state park with 3.2 miles of beach, over 2,400 acres of backcountry wilderness, and over 15 miles of trails. Check out the Beachcomber or the Crystal Cove Shake Shack if you want to grab a bite nearby!

San Juan Capistrano

San Juan Capistrano, CA

San Juan Capistrano offers a charming, historic escape where guests can explore the beautifully preserved Mission San Juan Capistrano, stroll the boutique‑filled Los Rios Historic District, enjoy local cafés and gardens along Los Rios Street, visit the serene Mission Basilica, or wander the area’s scenic parks and walking paths. Katie and I love stopping for coffee at the Hidden House Coffee shop, strolling through the antiques at the Old Barn Antique Mall, and grabbing at beer at the Swallow's Inn.
