Mark Alan and Allysa Mae met during their freshman year of college on a Thursday night after worship service. A: I remember bawling my eyes out on the way to church because I felt so homesick. I was waiting all week for this day because I knew I would feel right at home in the place of worship. After service, one of the deacon's introduced Mark to Allysa since they were both freshman, they both lived on campus... and Allysa was the one with the car. M: I was thinking in that moment, my ride situation is finally solved. And she's pretty. A: Looking back, this was such a turning point in our lives. We both moved away from home, started college, and little did we know we'd meet our future spouse. Ever since then, Mark and Allysa became the best of friends. They spent late nights at the library, became gym buddies, and did almost everything together in the 6 years of living in Tucson. When Mark graduated with his B.S. in Chemical Engineering, he moved to the East Valley to pursue his career, while Allysa stayed back to obtain her Doctorate of Pharmacy. After 10 years, 2 months, and 20 days of being together, on December 30, 2024, Mark Alan finally proposed to Allysa Mae. M: I was actually planning to propose in October 10 (the day we started dating), but Allysa's family was not in town. I knew that having her family there for that special moment was important to her. A: After our 10 year dating anniversary, I was so sure he wouldn't propose in 2024. So him proposing before the year ended was a complete surprise to me! Mark & Allysa believe so much in "God's perfect timing." On the eleventh day of the eleventh month, on their eleventh year together, they will begin the best chapter of their lives. M&A: It's been a long time coming! We are so excited to share our special day with you, our friends and family, who has always been so supportive of us in our relationship all these years. We love you all and cannot wait to create memories that will last a lifetime!
