We got you! The good news is that while spring break can be warm it obviously is not peak heat season. However, for those who are unfamiliar with desert heat and dryness we have some pro tips for you. Bring light loose clothes that cover the majority of your body. This helps keep the sun off of you and allows for ventilation between your skin and cloth on your clothes. While it goes against common thought, in the desert, less clothes is not necessarily the best choice. Light, Loose, and Lots of coverage are the way to go! Sunscreen is fun screen! Remember that anything under 50 SPF will not be as protective. Hydrate before you die-drate! Keep a water bottle with you at all times and make sure you are drinking several cups of water with each meal. *Weird note, but important...if you plan to enjoy an awesome desert hike, we hope you have a blast! However, please remember to start early and pack a lot of water. If you start hiking at 10am, you will overheat. Plan to hike during the cool of the morning and enjoy the views with that water you brought in your pack;)
