We first met in our kindergarten classroom, having the same teachers over the next five years and going to each other’s birthday parties (we have the pictures to prove it). We drifted apart while still going to the same middle and high school, having different classes and groups of friends. Fast forward to the summer of 2013, Nikki Leigh is working at Jeff’s Chinese which is in the same Publix plaza where Jordan works in the Pharmacy. Jordan came to pick up lunch one afternoon and we exchange niceties. Nikki Leigh leaves for vacation that next day, and at the time didn’t have a smart phone....When she returns she has a Facebook message from Jordan asking for her number and to hang out. We spent the last 3 weeks of that summer hanging out as much as we could before Nikki Leigh left for FSU. Jordan came to Tallahassee to visit often and Nikki Leigh came home and did the same. ....and the rest is history. In July of 2019 we purchased our forever home, making plans to spend the rest of our lives together.

Jordan has always been quite the romantic and his proposal proves that. Our elementary school holds a Fall Fun Fest every Fall. He strategically planned to propose on that evening, coordinating Nikki Leigh to be off of work without her knowing. Saying we were only going to dinner, we were all dressed up to go to a kids’ event, which was quite funny. Nikki Leigh was surprised and happy to reminisce. Jordan got special permission for us to be taken back to our kindergarten classroom and right in that room he got down on one knee! Now we will tie the knot exactly one year later.
