Let The Journey Begin!

Ricky has always been fascinated with adventure and had promised himself to retrace his father's footsteps in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The 50th anniversary of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta was the perfect opportunity to follow through on that promise and share in his journey. Ricky mapped out a New Mexican itinerary full of sentimental stops and surprises. In the days leading up to the Fiesta, we met up with friends of Ricky's father and made our way through Albuquerque while sharing laughs, memories, and meals in the same places he once did. After arriving at the Fiesta, the first surprise was a hot air balloon flight above the Sandia Mountains during sunrise. Prior to take-off, the pilot asked for help inflating, when the calm, crisp morning lead to a pre-flight photo opportunity inside the balloon canopy. In that moment, Ricky dropped to a knee for the biggest surprise of the trip...a proposal that was followed by nothing other than "Yes!" We're so excited to begin our next journey with you.
