This "Beer Hall" style environment is full of great times. Don't be confused by the use of tokens to purchase things. We know the owners, you can trust us.
Sid Gold’s Request Room
Many a night of Nikki karaoking may or may not have happened here. Do enter through a kinda dirty alley. Do bribe the bouncer so you can get a seat faster. Do sing. Do tip the musicians.
Evening Bar
Look up their hours. Get there right when they open. It's first-come-first-serve. Yes, the entrance is through an alley. They serve some very fancy drinks. When you're done, go check out the lobby of the Shinola Hotel.
Astoria Pastry Shop
Life is too short to not eat very good dessert. Astoria has a special place in our hearts. Check out the rest of Greektown too if you have a chance. You can even pay using chips if you get lucky at the casino...
Dime Store
You will probably be on the waitlist for an hour. But, the breakfast/brunch is worth it. We don't like waiting for things, so that should show you how good it is.
Dessert Oasis Coffee Roasters Detroit
Their philosophy is "Good Coffee, Good People". We actually think it's a very good™ place for a fresh cup of whatever caffeiney or chocolatey drink you want. Nikki says this place is what a true coffee house should be. Did we mention it has homemade slices of pie?

A refreshing public park and water feature within the downtown space.
Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory
Belle Isle is a gem. There is so much to see. Check out the numerous public spaces or go to Sunset Point to get a great view of the Cities of Detroit and Windsor, Canada.
Nest
This super cute boutique shop is located in Midtown. There is a place next door called City Bird. They have tons of custom Detroit crafts, collectibles, and memorabilia.
Eastern Market
Eastern Market on a Saturday morning is full of the sights and sounds of a true farmers market!

The world's longest international riverwalk includes trails spinning off the main route, a variety of plazas, and the easiest direct connection to our Saturday Dinner Cruise Reception!

Michigan Central
Michigan Central Station is well-known for its parallel history to the downturn of the City of Detroit. This abandoned train station was recently renovated, and Phil had the fortune of working on this project. It's now available for the public to see everyday from 9am-5pm.
Dequindre Cut
This walking path connects Eastern Market with the Detroit Riverwalk!
Detroit Tigers Baseball Club
The Tigers play every day right here at home between September 16th and September 21st. If you mention our name, you might get a discounted ticket (or not)... guess it depends on how good the team is.
Kresge Court - Detroit Institute of Arts
The DIA is a world-class art museum in Midtown. If you are a metro-Detroit resident, there is no price for admission.
Q Line
Phil loves street cars. He just wants it known that Detroit has one, called the Q Line. Ride it back and forth to Midtown (DIA/Nest/City Bird) if you so choose. Train rides sometime causes motion sickness for Nikki, so if you have this issue too, don't do this adventure. Maybe just walk or drive around on your own.
