Question

How does transportation from St Augustine to the ceremony work?

Answer

There will be bus transportation from River House Events (the reception venue) to the ceremony site in Jacksonville. To use the transportation, please arrive at the River House no later than 1:15pm for the buses to depart at 1:30pm. The River House has plenty of parking for vehicles and you can use Uber/Lyft as well.

When should I book my accommodations?

Answer

Our wedding is during the Night of Lights in St Augustine, FL. The event is very popular, so we recommend reserving your hotel accommodations as soon as possible.

When/Where will the ceremony be held?

Answer

The ceremony will be held at Southside United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, FL at 3pm, and we ask that you arrive no later than 2:45pm. There is ample parking at the church.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

During the ceremony, please turn off your cell phones and cameras. We have a wonderful photographer who will be capturing the entire day, and we will be happy to share our photos with you after the wedding. We welcome everyone to take photos at the reception!

When/Where will the reception be held?

Answer

The reception will take place at River House Events at 5pm . Cocktail hour followed by dinner and dancing.

Where should we park for the reception?

Answer

There is parking at the reception venue. Guests who are staying in downtown St. Augustine will be able to take a shuttle from the River House to the ceremony and back. Please indicate if you are interested in this transportation when you RSVP.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal Attire: Men, this means a suit and tie. Ladies, this means cocktail dresses or gowns, etc.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest, and we are hoping to keep the guest list limited. If your invitation indicates "and Guest," we are happy to welcome you and your date.

Will the events be outside or inside?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be inside; however, the cocktail hour will be outside if the weather permits. The weather will not stop our celebration!
