Nick and Nikki first met in Tampa, Fl in 2017 in flight school, despite growing up down the road from eachother in Pittsburgh, Pa. They were first friends going though the challenges of flight school together before they began dating in 2019. Nick pursued Nikki when they graduated from being students and became flight instructors. Their first “date” in 2018 was accidental (to Nicks luck) when all of their friends bailed on plans to hangout one night. They decided to go out and have fun anyways at one of their favorite bars on Clearwater beach, Shepherds. From then on they spent time getting closer and closer. Nick first asked Nikki to be his girlfriend in January of 2019 and she said no. He took it with a good heart and didn’t give up. He asked her every day for 3 months until one day she surprised him and said yes in March 2019. They both moved on from being flight instructors when they got their 1500 flight hours to go to the airlines late 2019. They both went to the same airline and had their world come to a screeching halt in 2020 due to covid. They were furloughed from their jobs and waited several months to get recalled. After getting comfortable again in their careers things have been better than ever. In Dec 2021 Nick asked Nikki to marry him on a stroll on the Tampa river walk. Of course she said yes and it’s been a celebration ever since. They live in Tampa with their two cats Piper, and Max. Piper is named after the first aircraft they flew in Florida during training (The Piper Archer) and Max, named after the 737 max. They are currently based in Miami, Fl for work where they fly the Embraer 175 for American Eagle.
