Meet Us in Mexico

Nikki & Matt met in the summer of 2020 at a mutual friend’s house while helping rebuild a backyard deck. Working together, Matt and Nikki fell into an easy rhythm of sarcastic humor and connected through their shared taste in music. By the end of the day, Nikki knew this couldn’t be the last time she saw Matt. After confirming relationship status and phone number with her friend, Nikki asked Matt on their first date. They went on their first, second and third dates on consecutive days and only weeks after meeting they took a road trip to Montana with mutual friends and Crested Butte with her family. It all might have seemed a little crazy and fast moving, but both Matt and Nikki believe that together was exactly where they were supposed to be.

Matt has a laissez faire and boisterous personality, rooted in his New Orleans upbringing. After crisscrossing the country for work, he found himself in Denver, where the weather, golfing and skiing are ideal. Nikki is a Colorado native and grew up in the Denver metro area surrounded by family and she played competitive sports thru the collegiate level. Nikki still enjoys staying active and competitive, challenging Matt to any game. They live in “The Ranch” (Highlands Ranch) with their dog Dottie, where they enjoy skiing, golfing and Tuesday Night Bowling League. Nikki enjoys watching the Broncos and Nuggets beat the Saints and Pelicans...much to Matt’s displeasure.
