Are children welcome at the wedding?

Answer

We love kids dearly and are including some family children in our wedding. However, due to budget we are limited to children of our immediate family. Plus, we think you'll have an awesome time leaving the kiddos at home for an adult get-away-weekend!

Yes, and yes- we will take care of your beer and wine desires at the wedding! (Rehearsal dinner too)

Whats the deal with transportation?

Answer

If you are staying in the downtown-historic district, we expect that you'll be able to walk ALMOST everywhere you might want to go. For the wedding ceremony and reception, we are highly encouraging everyone to plan ahead by using ride share/taxi. You can leave your car at the venue (the Mackey House) overnight, with no problems as well. They do ask that they are picked up by 11 am the day after we tie the knot.

Rehearsal Dinner?

Answer

More like a "welcome to Savannah" dinner! If you've RSVP'ed yes, you will be receiving a separate invitation to join us on Saturday night for dinner!

Why Savannah?

Answer

Well, we wanted a smaller destination wedding. It needed to be a place we both loved and had spent time in before. We also wanted to make sure it was in driving distance of our home in Richmond, VA. We had vacationed in Savannah in October 2017 and fell in love with this beautiful southern city. It offers a rich history, beautiful scenery, warm southern hospitality, a fantastic food scene, many islands and beaches nearby, oh and did we mention you can carry your drinks around in the historic downtown area!
