We're getting married!

“Hey would love to get to know you better, I’m Jake” –The infamous pickup line that led us here today, all starting on September 12th, 2018, Nikki and Jake's first date. The two haven’t looked back since. One drink at Upstairs at Caroline in Austin, TX turned into two, eventually coming to a close after hours together in the bar deep in conversation. Followed with a long walk around Downtown Austin, Jake went in for the kiss… only to commit the ultimate dating faux pas, leaving Nikki on the side of the street and got in his uber before hers arrived! But hey, he got the kiss. Despite Jake’s hiccup, Nikki and Jake both knew there would be a second date, but little did they know that they would see each other 4 times in the next 6 days. Thursday night rolled into Friday night into Saturday day and night, but the ultimate next step was Monday on their first real date, and the moment they knew this was something special. Fast-forward 5 years, from their first date in Austin, to Dallas, Chicago and now Los Angeles, Nikki and Jake have built endless memories together, road trips and international travel alike. Throughout that time (and there were some long road trips) the pair have continued to learn more about each other and fall even more deeply in love. Nikki has even learned to accept Jake despite his red flags of 1. Not going to summer camp and 2. Going to Michigan. Now settled into their new home in Santa Monica, Nikki and Jake could not be more excited to celebrate with their closest family and friends in Austin, where their story began, and start their forever as husband and wife!
