The Day They Met

February 15, 2020

It was a cold day and neither of these two were supposed to be working but found themselves lugging beer and sample cups to the Milwaukee Public Museum for the annual Food and Froth event. With 100+ vendors, their paths could’ve easily never crossed, but as Nikki was setting up her table, Edward approached to set up next to her. Nikki was immediately smitten and thought what better way to flirt than to offer him some of her cheese curds - to which he declined, and Nikki thought about ignoring him the rest of the night. However, seeing that he was working alone, Nikki decided to play coy and offer to “help” by getting him beer and chatting with him any chance she could. Edward offered to buy her a beer after as a thank you and Nikki suggested Burnhearts. Beer samples turned into countless laughs over Burnhearts numerous taps.

Budding Romance

Fall 2020

Post lock down Edward moved to Bay View (where Nikki was conveniently already located) and asked for neighborhood suggestions. These two became inseparable from that point on. Enduring her first football season with a bunch of Fantasy Football enthusiasts, Nikki was hooked to not only the charm of Edward but the incredible people he surrounded himself with (and more importantly his adorable dog Murph).

Surprise Proposal

July 30, 2023

Nikki and Edward (and Edward's entire family) were spending a week in Hayward, Wisconsin to celebrate the life of their late grandmother. On the dock in Edward's favorite place in the world, he got down on one knee (to a very unsuspecting Nikki) and proposed (to which she said "OMG WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?"). Not only did they get to celebrate with Edward's family but he coordinated for her parents and brother to appear out of nowhere when she turned back around (to which Nikki turned into an even bigger blubbering mess). Which he then followed up with a surprise engagement party the week they returned to Milwaukee.
