We met thanks to the help of a dating app. We actually almost never met up. I (Nikki) got in my head after looking at Courtney's profile and thought hmmm... he says he is from Florida..has pictures from Florida and says he works at a marina.. this man can't live in the midwest! Luckily my friend showed me the section that says he lives in Indianapolis and just grew up in Florida. I am still trying to wrap my head around why he decided to move to Indiana to pursue working on boats, but I'm not going to ask too many questions because I'm grateful that he did move! Our first date wasn't your typical one - we met up at a park and played pickleball. To hear Courtney tell it, he thought he was going to have to go easy on me.. he quickly learned that was not the case. I smoked him.... however as of late I can't seem to beat him anymore (I guess all his youtube videos have been paying off). Basically ever since that first date we both knew we wanted to hang out around one another as much as possible. Having met the end of October and knowing Courtney wasn't going home for the holidays, I did something very out of character and asked him to join my family for Christmas. When he said yes, I knew he must really like me. Then almost a year later, Court got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him. I obviously said yes (I'd been begging him to propose for awhile haha). We are so excited for our future and cannot wait to celebrate with all of you on March 21, 2025!
