The 2-hour car rides between our families' houses in Southfield, MI and Grand Rapids, MI always felt much longer with the anticipation of hanging out with my surrogate sisters. I’m so lucky to have her as a steady, reassuring presence as I start this next chapter.

While 2014 doesn't seem that long ago, the years have truly flown by as we've lived through so much life together. From car meets to the biggest milestones, Nate has been a constant friend, and I’m grateful to have him standing with me as I start this next chapter

Keisha and I met in architecture school at Howard University and we’ve been friends ever since. She is someone I can always count on to be a safe place while making sure I get out of the house once in while! I’m so grateful to have her standing by my side on our big day.

Bound by decades of history and a childhood friendship they both cherish, Benny has been Chris’s North Star since day one. He’s the guy Chris calls for great advice, real-deal conversation, and the occasional reality check. Benny’s loyalty is so deep he’s even agreed to wear a suit for the occasion. The wedding party wouldn’t be the same without him, and Chris’s life wouldn't be the same without his constant friendship.
