What started as a simple swipe turned into the best adventure either of us could have imagined. We met on Tinder while Nikki was traveling for volleyball, never expecting that a chance match between New Jersey and Maryland would change our lives. What followed was a year of long‑distance calls, weekend road trips, and learning how to build a relationship across state lines. Somehow, even with the miles between us, everything felt easy. After a year of long‑distance, we finally closed the gap and moved in together. Life quickly became a blend of shared routines, spontaneous plans, and a growing list of places we wanted to explore. Travel became our favorite thing to do together—whether it was hiking new trails or hopping on a plane to somewhere warm. Two years into our relationship, we took a trip to St. Maarten that we’ll never forget. On a beautiful day by the water, with the island breeze around us, we got engaged. It was perfect—simple, meaningful, and so very us. Not long after, we packed up our lives once again and moved across the country to Colorado. It felt like the next natural step for two people who love adventure as much as we do. Now we spend our days exploring new trails, discovering new places, and building a life that feels full of excitement and home all at once.
