Do I have to arrive on Thursday, September 22, 2022?

Answer

No! We will be happy to have you for any portion of the weekend. The ceremony is Friday evening. Some guests are choosing to arrive Friday morning and leave Sunday evening. You may customize your trip however you like.

Do I have to stay at the Hyatt Ziva Riveria Cancun Resort?

Answer

No. Wedding guests do not need to stay at the same resorts. Just let me know if you book a different one so that I can let the wedding planners know to account for you. Please feel free to find another resort that might better accommodate your vacation needs.

Will the entire weekend be planned out for us?

Answer

No. This is your vacation, not just our vow renewal. Feel free to schedule individual excursions ie; fishing trips, golfing, sailing, snorkeling, shopping, etc. We want you to have fun! There will be an itinerary, but it is in no way mandatory.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Nope! Just remember it will be on the beach! Shorts, sandals, shoes, no shoes.... we don't care!

Is the resort all-inclusive?

Answer

Yes!! All food, alcohol, and some watersports are all included. The resort has 17 restaurants and bars, some will require a reservation. Please visit the resort website to become familiar with them before traveling.

Will I need a passport?

Answer

Duh, you are going to Mexico! Passport services are available at the Laurel, DE library by appointment. The turnaround time is 3 months, so get to it.

How much will this cost me?

Answer

Well, memories are priceless. This trip is not! The price will vary depending on when you book, the room category that you choose, any upgrades, insurance, shuttles, and the airline that you fly. The lowest (lowest category room, flying on Spirit, with no insurance or transfers) is around $1000 per person. on Expedia. With an upgraded room to Oceanview, flying American Airlines, adding insurance, and airport transfers, it was around $1500 pp. Keep in mind that this is an all-inclusive resort, and you will not incur any additional costs for food, drinks, and entertainment.

Can I invite my friends?

Answer

Sure. Consider this your vacation and you are purchasing. You may invite anyone who you may like. However, the ceremony is only booked for a certain number of guests and additional guests carry additional fees. Therefore, these guests may not be able to attend the actual ceremony but can join us afterwards. Please speak to us directly if the guest who you invited would like to attend the ceremony.
