Adams Canyon Trailhead
Adam's Canyon is one of many trails accessible in the area, but one of our favorites.
Antelope Island State Park
See plentiful bison and views of the Great Salt Lake! About 30 minutes west of Layton.
Layton Aquarium & Wildlife
Located within Layton City Mall. A little janky and small, but much cheaper and takes less time to navigate through and travel to than the main Loveland Living Planet Aquarium located in Draper (which is still an option for an activity to do, but just 40 minutes south of Layton).
Lagoon Amusement Park
The only amusement park in the area, great for a day with kids if you have extra time! Just keep in mind that tickets can be fairly expensive, over $100 for the day.
Utah's Hogle Zoo
Located in eastern Salt Lake City, this is a great option if you have a morning or afternoon before you catch your flight. The Natural History Museum and Red Butte Garden & Arboretum are located nearby as well.
