Travel Note

Detours blocking southern route to Wedding

There will be bridge construction blocking passage across the southern end of the island on Rt-102 between the Gott's Store and Hansen's Outpost, If you find yourself here you will be directed to go back to take a wide loop around the Manset / Seawall peninsula, adding an additional 10 minutes of travel time. To access the west side of the island for the Wedding Venue and our house, we recommend taking the SEAL COVE ROAD (Most direct), a well maintained dirt road that cuts across the island, OR take RT-102 loop counter clockwise veering left at the blinking yellow light towards Pretty Marsh (10 minutes longer). It seems Google Maps is aware of the detour and will not lead you there.

Travel Note

Sunday Marathon

The Marathon will be centered around the town of Southwest Harbor, expect delays but most roads are still passable. Finish line is on Main St. Click view for marathon website for up to date info.
