This is the story of how we met and how our romance started. We met like a lot of people do these days, on a dating app. Jon’s mysterious yet dull profile drew Nikki right in! Jon was enamored that Nikki was most proud of her intelligence... but little did we know, we went to the same gym! The conversations started to gain substance and momentum, Jon asked Nikki to go on a date. Nikki agreed and the first date was over ice cream. Both were so nervous and sweaty on a scorching summer day, yet there was an immediate connection. Barely any ice cream was had, but they both knew they wanted to see each other again... The Adventure Begins ☀️ The pair continued to go on a few anxious dates and long walks to get to know each other. They shared stories and dreams while going on new adventures…. Nikki really took Jon out from under his rock to explore the world and experience new things. The time seemed to fly by as they discovered just how much they had in common, and how much their minds aligned. This was the beginning of an incredible journey together. From climbing a via ferrata in WV, a trip to Philly, camping at the beach, and just cooking dinner together, it was so easy to see a future together. Our Engagement 🏔 The two had planned a long weekend, and 2-day snowboarding trip to Killington Vermont before Christmas. The conditions were great on the first day which was spent getting to know the mountain. The actual proposal was planned on a beautiful mountaintop overlook on the second day. Unfortunately, the weather had different plans, and the mountaintop views were covered in dense fog. In an attempt to wait for the fog to lift, Jon persisted that they repeatedly go up the same gondola to the top of the mountain. Nikki’s requests to go on other runs were shot down…and the persistence paid off! Jon was able to pop the question on the top of the mountain with an amazing view. To top it off, a photographer was able to capture the moment to cherish for a lifetime. Married in Delaware? ⛱ Long story short, the beach was always the location for the wedding. Nikki and Jon had made multiple beach trips over the course of their blooming romance. It has become a special place with lots of trails, bike riding, and things to do! Nikki & Jon decided to have an intimate, immediate family only, private ceremony on the beach in Delaware at Cape Henlopen State Park, on July 12, 2025. FUN FACT: July 12 is Nikki’s birthday, and now our wedding anniversary September 14 is Jons birthday, the weekend of our after party! Cannot wait to celebrate with you all!
