As fate would have it, Nikki and Kyle were next door neighbors in Winter Park during their junior and senior years at Rollins. They first met in the fall of 2013 when Nikki and some of her friends came over to Kyle's house for a quick drink before heading out to the bars to celebrate Nikki's 21st birthday at midnight. What started as a quick introduction from a mutual friend evolved into romantic evenings on Park Avenue for Nikki's birthday as well as the Halloween festivities around campus. This story of neighbors simply making small talk quickly turned into two college kids that were falling for each other. The rest is history as Kyle and Nikki graduated from college, took internships in Washington DC for a quick summer, and then eventually moved to the west coast to start their careers. The two have been living up the Los Angeles lifestyle for the past two and half years and cannot wait to tie the knot in May 2019!
Kyle was working in Florida over Christmas 2017 while Nikki was home with her family in Tucson. Nikki went to Nashville to go visit her friends for New Years, but unfortunately Kyle wasn't able to make it because he was working through the New Year... or so Nikki thought. Secretly, as Nikki was bar hopping down Broadway, Kyle was flying to Tucson to ask Nikki's hand. A couple days later, Nikki and Kyle landed in LA and went about their work weeks with the plan that they would have a relaxing weekend together at home since they hadn't seen each other in a couple weeks. Saturday morning, Kyle takes out a suitcase and tells Nikki to pack her bags. He wouldn't tell her where they were going, only that she should pack a nice outfit for dinner. Nikki was suspicious from the start (Kyle isn't one to jump on something without planning it out), but when they pulled up to The Ritz Carlton in Laguna Beach, she had a pretty good idea as to what was happening. As soon as they got to their suite overlooking the ocean, Kyle got to one knee.... SHE SAID YES!!! The couple enjoyed the most romantic weekend together at the resort. It was filled with champagne, intimate dinners, amazing food, and of course, emotional phone calls to family and friends.
