They initially met at a friend's birthday party during medical school, where after just 5 minutes of conversation, Rishi instantly knew that he had to get to know Nikitha better. Fast forward a few months later, after crossing paths in the library and at various restaurants, they finally had their first date at the Albany Distilling Company. From that day onward, friends and family will tell you that it was as if they had known each other forever.

Rishi and Nikitha moved into their first apartment together in Fells Point in Baltimore, Maryland to continue their medical training. Rishi began his Anesthesiology residency and Nikitha was continuing her Pediatrics residency. It was here that they frequented Ekiben and the Guiness Brewery, made lifelong friends, and a lifetime of memories.

It was a sunny spring morning during the peak bloom of Washington D.C's Cherry Blossom season when Rishi proposed to Nikitha. Those that were there say it was an incredibly moving and eloquent speech that Rishi gave that morning.

After years of on and off long-distance, Nikitha and Rishi moved to Hoboken, across the river from Manhattan. Nikitha continued her medical training as a Neonatal-Perinatal Fellow, while Rishi continued his Anesthesiology residency.
