Once upon a time, Dip and Nikita both flew to New Jersey the last weekend in July 2020. Both were invited to their friend’s wedding. The wedding weekend began with single look - Nikita handing Dip and his friends their room keys to their hotel rooms. What came next were laughs, smiles, endless conversations, late nights, and memories with friends created that neither knew would change their lives forevermore. Nikita was on a social media detox, so until she added the apps back onto her phone, Dip was left to chat with their mutual friends over late night summer bonfires about this girl who had captured his attention. Nikita couldn't help but be intrigued by his charm, laughter, and was excited to find a message from him the following Sunday afternoon... Texts, the sharing of phone numbers, and many phone calls later, Dip and Nikita went on their first date night to a pop-up event in Chicago during the last weekend of October. Both wracked with nerves, they attended “The Shining” themed horror event followed by an Italian dinner. The couple talked about anything and everything - from family to college to childhood to how neither has ever watched the movie that they attended the pop-up for! It was clear that both Dip and Nikita were looking forward to seeing each other in real life and this event was exactly the excuse they needed.
