As twin sister of the bride, she’s definitely known Niki the longest. From womb-mates to roommates, Shelley has been there through it all. So naturally, she will be there as maid of honor for the big day!

Lucy and Niki have known of each other since first grade, but it wasn’t until summer that the neighborhood swim team (Go Dolphins!) brought them together as friends. Early mornings in cold water will do that! From swimmers, to lifeguards, to swim coaches, Lucy and Niki spent most summers growing up together at the pool. Through distance and years, relationships and parenthood, the friendship has remained strong!

Maddie Tortorice

Niki met Maddie her first night of freshman year at Kent State, and they became fast friends. Together they experienced all that college life has to offer- from late night study sessions to even later night college street escapades. Niki credits Maddie for getting through college alive. Now, nearly 15 years later, their Ben&Jerrys vent sessions in each other’s dorm rooms has evolved into FaceTime sessions with their fur babies.

Courtney Downey

When Niki started her current job at Stark DD almost 7 years ago, she was fortunate to sit in a cubicle across from Courtney. Courtney has witnessed the darkest & happiest moments in Niki’s life, and was there to offer support in both. On one of Matt and Niki’s early dates, they floated down the Cuyahoga River as Courtney interrogated Matt. By the end of the event, Courtney decided Matt had zero red flags. But it’s understood that she will keep investigating. 😉 Matt & Niki agree Courtney is the real OG.

Kirsten Vaughn

Kirsten started at Stark DD in 2020 at the start of the pandemic, the same day Niki started working from home for the first time ever. Because a 2 week work from home plan turned into a much longer situation, it took a while for Kirsten and Niki to have the opportunity to meet face to face, but once they did a friendship formed almost instantly! Kirsten has been there with authentic and generous support through both good days and bad. Kristen is also the fur mama to Walter’s BFF Charlee!
