Question

Will the wedding be postponed?

Answer

Ideally, we would love to be able to hit pause and postpone our wedding one year. Unfortunately, we don't know what the future holds so for the safety of ourselves and our guests we've decided not to postpone at this time. We will still get married on our original date of 9/26/20 but it will be an intimate ceremony with immediate family. We will keep everyone updated if we do decide to plan something that can include everyone at a later date.

Why did you cancel the wedding so early?

Answer

Weddings have a lot of moving parts. Although we would have loved to wait a little longer in hopes that all is back to normal by September, vendor deadlines and regulations pushed us to have this difficult conversation sooner. We went over every scenario and ultimately decided that no matter what, the wedding we had originally planned would not be able to happen come this September. Our dream celebration didn't include masks or spending the night 6 feet away from our guests. In the end, if it wasn't going to feel like "us" then it wasn't for us.
