To say that it all started with a DM followed by a friend request would eliminate the intricate details of our love story that took time to develop. Antonio and I met when we were teenagers. He would often come past my house and speak in passing but nothing ever came of it. Years later we reconnected and went on our first date. Again, nothing came of that date. Fast forward 20 years later I received a friend request and DM followed by a few “likes” on some of my pictures from Antonio. We chatted via DM but nothing transpired. A little over a year later I received another DM followed by a phone call. We talked non-stop and a few days later went on a date which led to many more. Shortly after we became official. And that’s when time sped up. We went on more dates, took our first trip as a couple, and went to an NFL game. Everything changed when we took our first trip out of the country to Barbados. On May 25, 2024, shortly after dinner Antonio asked me to marry him and without hesitation I said YES!!
