Im going to give y’all the short version! Lol So, we were neighbors for months and rarely saw each other and hardly ever spoke. And when I say neighbors I literally mean we lived 3.5 baby steps away from each other. He was apartment 8 and I was apartment 9. I know what y’all probably thinking. Neighbors dating … terrible idea. Lol 😂 but hey it was 2016 YOLO (you only live once) Okay, okay, okay I forgot I told y’all I was giving the short version so let me get to the story, Well on February 4, 2016 I was at home starving with a fractured arm. Idk if y’all know this or not but it’s almost impossible to open a new jar of queso with one hand. So, I had a genius idea to go knock on my neighbors door and ask him to open it for me. Do y’all know this man had the nerve to have me out there knocking FOREVER! But, I knew he was home cause I could hear them in my apartment so I kept knocking. Lol (Petty, I know) He finally came to the door. He was like hey what’s up. (Y’all know I’m awkward ) I responded by saying “ Can you open this for me? (🤦🏾‍♀️) My arm is fractured and I’m in this sling and I can’t open this jar. I live next door. Lol I instantly regretted the entire sentence because I sounded like an idiot. Lol but hey it started a conversation. He opened my jar, we exchanged numbers, & said our goodbyes. We texted a little that night, followed each other on social media , you know all that good stuff. The next day he ordered Pizza Hut , knocked on my door offered me some (he clearly thinks I’m helpless at this point lol j/k) and of course I accepted lol . Anyways so we made plans to watch a movie later on that night and yea we’ve been inseparable ever since. It was literally an instant connection. Never felt it before. He just calmed me and gave me butterflies all at once . So after a few weeks I was like dang I think I like this dude. So I did a quick background Check (y’all know I’m a part time detective) and everything came back good! So yea at that point operation take this man off the market was go. And here we are in 2022 getting married. I literally went from neighbor to fiancé to wife! And yes you read that correctly because technically Brandon never asked me to be his girlfriend. He just randomly started calling me his girlfriend one day. And I went with it cause whether he knew it or not he had been my boyfriend for a good little minute. 🤣😂 and so yea that’s my version of the story. Brandon’s version I was in my room minding my own business when someone started beating on the door like the police. Of course, I ignored it, but they insisted on getting me to the door so I did. When I opened the door, it was Keshia, my neighbor, with a jar of cheese dip and a broken arm (looking helpless). So I opened the jar. And gave her my number just in case she needed some manly stuff done like, opening jars, reaching on top of the fridge, grocery transport, you know stuff like that. The next day I ordered pizza, when I realized that she probably can't cook either, ONLY BECAUSE OF THE ARM. So I offered her food and because of the arm, she probably was bored too so I invited her to watch a movie lol. Yea I know I know. But I honestly had nothing going on. And from that point it's all a blur. I felt so comfortable around her. There was no need to mask my flaws. I could be myself without being judged. Now we are engaged and about to have 7 kids.
