Flight

Kefalonia International Airport (EFL)

The best way to get to the island of Kefalonia is by plane. There is an international airport on Kefalonia and we suggest taking the Sky Express or Aegean/Olympic airlines to get to the island. There are other options, but those are direct flights and offer the most options/flexibility. NOTE: They are not the best airlines for being on time...they operate on Greek time :) If you are flying directly home after the wedding, we suggest you plan on having plenty of buffer time before your next flight.

Rental Car

There are many rental car agencies on the island located at and near the airport. There are standard options through popular rental agencies (Enterprise, Hertz, Avis, etc...) as well as some alternative local options. A quick Google search of Kefalonia car rentals will pull up lots of options. Please note that Kefalonia is one of the largest islands in Greece (300 square miles). We suggest renting a car to get around and explore the island. Given its size, elevation (the highest point on the island is ~5400 feet), and steepness of the roads, cars are better options than smaller vehicles like ATVs. Also, most of the island is paved, but there are some dirt roads. Be careful with your vehicle and we suggest making sure the vehicle is covered for damages.

We have switched our wedding reception from White Rocks Hotel to the Gentilini Retreat. This is an option for guests to stay. Please not there is a limited availability at the retreat. Feel free to book a room during your time on the island.

There are taxi services available on the island if you do not plan on getting a rental car. UBERs and LYFTs are not available on the island.
