We first met in our freshman year of college through mutual friends. Nik met the group during freshman orientation, and Grace was invited by a friend from her math class. We all started meeting up before our 8 a.m. engineering lectures (the worst kind of early class), but within two weeks, the group of twenty had shrunk to just the two of us. Not that we minded, it gave us the perfect excuse to spend more time together. We got even closer during our late-night study sessions scattered around campus, which almost always turned into mini adventures like late runs to the gas station for a soda. It turns out calculus is a little easier to survive with good company.
