FAQs

The Wedding Website of Nik Marchol and Amanda Marchol
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Officially the dress code is semi-formal/cocktail. Dress for a relaxed outdoor garden affair. The wedding will take place on grass, so wedges or sandals are recommended for ladies. There will also be a dance floor, so bring your dancing shoes!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Typical temperatures for May range from 65-80 degrees. Luckily we will not be in direct sunlight. It will get cool after the sun goes down so a jacket is recommended.

Question

When do I have to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP online by April 23, 2022

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 4:00 sharp. Please arrive at the venue 10-15 minutes early to park and find your seats. Be sure to give yourself plenty of drive time as Saturday afternoon traffic might surprise you.

Question

How long will the event last?

Answer

Dancing is expected to last until 10:00pm. The last to leave is the winner :)

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

There is plenty of parking on site for everyone. Parking attendants will be on location to help guide you. There will be a very short walk down an embankment to where the events are taking place. Handicapped guests can be dropped off closer to the lawn area.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception taking place at the same location?

Answer

Yes. The ceremony, cocktails, dinner, and dancing will all take place on the same grounds. Not much walking will be required.

Question

Are cameras allowed?

Answer

Yes. Although we will be having an unplugged ceremony, so please put your cameras away until we are presented as husband and wife. We have an excellent photographer that will capture it all for us. After the pronouncement, snap away! Use the hashtag #HappilyEverMarchol to share your photos on social media.

Question

What kind of food is being served?

Answer

We are serving up a great buffet of classic Californian cuisine that will include chicken, beef, and plenty of veggies. We will also have beer, wine, champagne and a signature cocktail.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes. See the "Travel" tab for all the info.

Question

Do you provide transportation to and from any hotels to the ceremony site?

Answer

Please arrange for your own transportation between hotel and ceremony.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Please bring only the individuals indicated on the invitation. Don't worry; there will be people you know in attendance.

Question

What Covid precautions are you taking?

Answer

The buffet line will be fully staffed instead of self-serve. This will prevent the repeat handling of serving utensils by multiple guests. Additionally, hand sanitizer will be easily accessible throughout the venue.

Question

Should I / can I wear a mask?

Answer

Masks are not required for this fully outdoor event. For guests who are not significantly immunocompromised, we ask that you refrain from wearing a mask.

Question

Is a Covid vaccination required?

Answer

We respect your choice in this matter. All are welcome regardless of vaccination status.

Question

Do I have to bring a gift?

Answer

If you have already given us a gift for our wedding, you certainly don't need to purchase anything additional. We are just excited to finally celebrate with you all!
