FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Formal Invitations will arrive in a few months. We ask that you RSVP asap- we're so excited to see who will be celebrating with us!- but by 8/31/18 at the latest. (I know, I know.. we probably RSVPed late to your wedding- please forgive us!)

Question

What's up with Oconomowoc?

Answer

Free drinks all night if you can actually pronounce this! We chose Oconomowoc for it's somewhat central location between our families, and because it's just a darn cute area in Megan's (great) home state of Wisconsin! Should you choose to come in on Friday, we hope you enjoy exploring the Oconomowoc and Delafield area!

Question

But what will I do there?

Answer

So glad you asked! Please see the "Things to Do" Section!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please see your invitation for +1 information

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We would absolutely love to be able to invite everyone, but unfortunately due to venue capacity, our ceremony and reception will be adults only with the exception of the children in our wedding party. That being said- we know a few of our friends and family will have brand new babies- yay! If you would like to bring your infant, please feel free. We hope everyone enjoys a little date night away from the kids and is able to really let loose!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Preferably not a wedding dress, but please bring your party pants and dancing shoes. Typical cocktail wedding attire should do just fine.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 12pm (Megan promises to arrive on time for once!) We know you all love to mingle, so please feel free to arrive as early as 11:30 to chat and get settled!

Question

Will the Ceremony be one of those long Catholic masses?

Answer

Indeed it will! This is something that is super important to us, and we hope you enjoy the tradition of it all. We'll do our best to make sure our non-Catholic friends know what's going on!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking available at the church, as well as the reception venue. That being said, we want everyone to be safe and enjoy the evening (hello, open bar!) so we will be providing shuttle service to and from the Reception Venue.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have wedding room blocks at The Hilton Garden Inn Oconomowoc and The Staybridge Suites Oconomowoc and shuttles will be running between these two hotels and our reception Venue. If these rooms are unavailable or you plan to drive to the reception, there are other hotels in the area: LaQuinta Inn and Suites- Delafield AmericInn and Suites- Delafield The Delafield Hotel Cobblestone Hotel and Suites- Hartford (Opening this summer)

Question

What time can I check into my hotel on Saturday?

Answer

The hotels have informed us that early check-in is not always available during wedding season given the high volume of guests in and out. If you plan to come in on Saturday, please plan accordingly. Official check in is not until mid-afternoon, so you may have to wait to check in until after the ceremony.

Question

When should I be ready if I'm taking the shuttle?

Answer

Shuttle buses will be running between The Bowery and The Hilton Garden Inn and Staybridge Suites Oconomowoc. One bus will leave each hotel at 4:30, and another will leave each hotel at 4:45. We will likely begin running buses back to the hotels around 8pm and they will continue going back and forth until the party ends around midnight.
