We grew up in the same hometown and consequently spent our time in high school and middle school in close proximity to one another. Although we had seen each other in passing in the hallways, we only shared one class in high school, resulting in minimal interaction during that period. It was not until our time at college that we reconnected. Niharika extended birthday wishes to Shimank, who remembered her from class and initiated a conversation. From that point onward, we maintained a friendly relationship, facilitated by the time-sensitive nature of our ongoing and unbroken Snapchat streak. Our closeness fluctuated sporadically, as is often the case with digital friendships. However, it was not until late 2019 that we met in person once again. We discovered that we had similar career interests and benefited from each other's courses. Our meetings became more frequent in 2020, when we would meet nearly every day at the library to study together. Occasionally, we would dine together and participate in campus activities, which strengthened our close, friendly bond. Shortly after Covid, we realized that we viewed each other as more than just friends. It was only a matter of time before we decided to express our feelings, and we have been together since. We have planned much of our future and endeavored to enjoy the present as much as possible. Our foundation as friends has been instrumental in building a loving, caring, and enjoyable relationship. As we approach our wedding, we eagerly anticipate the future, including engaging in activities together, investing in ourselves and each other, and cherishing each other's company along with our families and friends.
