Third Time's The Charm

Our Beginning

As you all know, Nigel and Kristen met at law school. But, you may not know that they didn't start dating until after law school. Although they were in the same class and had many friends in common, they did not speak until their third year of law school at a Halloween Party. Nigel worked throughout law school and did not attend many events, but luckily decided to attend the party, sans costume. After prompting from mutual friends, Kristen (Rosie the Riveter), approached Nigel and the two had their first conversation. The summer after graduation, fate stepped in again. Kristen was working and traveling the state for a political campaign when she was sent to Martinsburg, West Virginia to call (annoy) voters. She walked into the headquarters and there sat Nigel, also working for a political campaign while waiting for the BAR exam results. The two caught up but again parted ways. Election Day passed and real life began. After getting her bar results, Kristen started working in Huntington, West Virginia as a solo attorney. She was terrified and asked for help everywhere she could get it, including other friendly attorneys, court staff, and even judges. During her first week, she went downstairs into the basement of Cabell County's courthouse looking for magistrate court when she heard a familiar voice and recognized that 6'4" silhouette with coal black hair. Nigel turned to her and smiled, explained that he was hired as a public defender and would help her with any questions she had. Eventually, the two navigated their new city, new jobs, and new lives together. The rest is history. Fate finally got her way.
