How long is the gondola ride?

Answer

It's about a 10 to 12 minute ride up or down the mountain.

Question

I'm afraid of heights. Is the gondola the only way to get to the summit?

Answer

Yes. The gondola is the safest and easiest way to make it to the top. The ride is very smooth, and you're never more than a few feet off the ground in the fully enclosed vehicle.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests need to arrive by 1 pm to take the gondola up towards the summit amphitheatre. Remember, it can take some time to wait in line, board, and ride up. So, you'll want to start early. There are restrooms, snack shops, and plenty of sights to see once you're up there. Again, Loon Mountain does not wait for anyone. The ceremony WILL begin PROMPTLY at 2pm.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Your most convenient option is the "Mountain Club on Loon" hotel, which is at the base of Loon Mtn and where the reception is taking place. But, there are PLENTY of hotels along the road and in the area, along with many Airbnb options!

What happens if the weather is bad?

Answer

In the unfortunate event of a rainstorm, the ceremony will be held indoors. The location will be moved to the Kingsmen Room inside The Mountain Club on Loon Hotel. Please ask a staff member to point you in the right direction.

What comes with our dinner selection?

Answer

1st: Italian Wedding Soup 2nd: Classic Cesear Salad Main (Choice of): Grilled Filet Mignon with Madeira Jus, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and Broccoli or Baked New England Haddock with Seafood Stuffing, Sherry Cream Sauce, Sauteed Green Beans, and Roasted New Potatoes Dessert: Vanilla Wedding Cake with Cookies n Cream Filling or Lemon Wedding Cake with Rasberry Preserve Filling

A vegetarian selection and kid's (12 and under) menu are available upon request. Please let us know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions.
