Let's do this!

It was December 30, 2017. The goal was a low key night with New Year's Eve right around the corner. Katie went to meet her friend, Nikki, at The Other Side Bar to watch the Wisconsin Badger's bowl game. Charlie was at a buddy's apartment playing Mario Kart with adult beverages (classic). Charlie's good friend, Carly, then persuaded Charlie to stop by The Other Side Bar for a game of darts, which was just down the street, before calling it an early night. Little did Charlie know, that freezing cold walk down the street was the best decision he's ever made. Charlie walked into the bar and met Carly and her friend, Jen. Carly immediately asked "What do you think of that girl over there with the Badger's hat on?" Charlie glanced over and responded "She's cute!" That was that, until Charlie realized he needed a darts partner! Meanwhile, Katie had a couple other gentlemen interested in buying her a beer or two. Charlie, shy and timid per usual (LOL), walked right up to Katie and acted as if they'd known each other for years with a darts game to get back to. Obviously being saved from unwanted attention from the other fellas, Katie joined Charlie at the darts board. The night continued and the darts were flowing...far away from the bulls-eye. Darts led to cheers, cheers led to dancing, dancing led to team dancing. Before you know it, Katie and Charlie were ballroom dancing around the pub to none other than some good ol' rap music. Nailed it. Charlie was shocked he'd met Katie so out of the blue, continuing to ask her "Where'd you come from?" as he spun her around the bar, and Katie thought Charlie was...British! What can you say, the pub was loud and the beer was good. They went on a date the following week, the vibes only became stronger, and the rest is history. The Katie + Charlie story has just begun, and we are so pumped to celebrate our beginning to our Hoover family with you all at the party! With love, Katie + Charlie
