Airport & Visa

The closest airport is Düsseldorf International Airport (DUS), which is the easiest and recommended option. The next best option is Frankfurt International Airport (FRA). From there, you can either drive or take the Intercity Express (ICE) train to Düsseldorf Central Station (~2 hours). If you require a visa, please reach out to us directly for an invitation letter or any supporting documents. House Or Rental

Villa Hilden

Since we live in Benrath (Düsseldorf) and Luis’ family is settled in Hilden, it would be most convenient to book accommodations in either Benrath or Hilden. Please note: Between June 24–26, 2026, Satwika's family will be staying at Villa Hilden (Engelbertstraße 11, 40724 Hilden).

Getting Around

Germany is very well connected by public transport. You can use local trains and buses, take an Uber, or rent a car (make sure your driver’s license is valid in Germany). 
If you plan to use public transport, please download the DB Navigator app before your trip (https://int.bahn.de/en/booking-information/db-navigator). The app lets you check connections and buy tickets, though tickets can also be purchased at station vending machines using cash or card. When buying tickets, select EinzelTicket Erwachsener for adults or EinzelTicket Kind for children below 14.
