FAQs

The Wedding Website of Nick Daly and Nicole Nielly
Question

What is the wedding attire?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception are black tie optional. For men, this means that we welcome you to wear a tuxedo if you own one. If not, a suit is also appropriate with a necktie or bowtie. For women, this means either a floor-length dress or gown. Please note that the cocktail hour and reception will be over cobblestone, so a block heel is recommended. Should you wish to reserve hair and make-up appointments for any of the wedding events, Casa de Campo Resort & the Marina, have on-site beauty salons for hair, makeup, and nail services. We recommend scheduling your appointments well in advance of your arrival, as the salon appointments fill up quickly. Beauty Salon Casa de Campo: 809-523-8224, a.concierge@ccampo.com.do Beauty Salon at the Marina Amadeus: 809-523-2381

Question

When Should We Arrive?

Answer

The wedding festivities begin July 1, 2023! Still, we understand that not all guests will be able to arrive on or before July 1. We recommend arriving no later than July 2 (to the extent possible) to ensure that you have enough time to settle in and enjoy the resort's amenities before wedding day. For those who wish to arrive earlier, our room block begins on June 29; so please feel free to arrive early and enjoy an extended vacation!

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes, you will need a passport to enter into the Dominican Republic. To be safe, please check your passports ASAP to ensure that they will not expire within six months of our Wedding date (through December 2024!). Some countries do not allow entry within six months of expiry. If that is the case, we recommend renewing your passport as soon as possible (please plan to allow for up to three months for renewal).

Question

Are there any customs forms that I need to fill out before entering the Dominican Republic?

Answer

Yes, the Dominican Republic requires all entrants to complete a digital immigration form before or upon arrival. The Dominican Republic has migrated its customs forms to a digital platform you can fill out in advance of your flight when both entering and leaving the country. We have included a link to this free digital platform on our "Travel" page. We recommend completing form on your phone before your travel date and taking a screenshot of your QR code for easy access.

Question

Can we stay at another hotel or resort, or book through Airbnb, and still visit Casa de Campo for the wedding festivities?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. Casa de Campo requires all wedding guests to stay on the resort's property and to book their reservations through the link provided on our "Travel" page. The resort is very strict about this and does not offer day passes for anyone staying off property. We know this may be less than ideal, but we promise that your stay at Casa de Campo will be more than worth it!

Question

Is the resort all-inclusive?

Answer

The choice is yours! We are allowing each of our guests to select whether they would like to enjoy a "room only" experience or an all-inclusive experience. Guests will make this decision when selecting your preferred accommodations. Selecting all-inclusive will include most Casa de Campo restaurants as well as drinks and certain activities. For those who do not choose all-inclusive, payment is a la carte.

Question

How do we travel throughout the resort?

Answer

Casa de Campo offers complimentary golf carts for each reservation, which resort guests may use to travel anywhere throughout the property. That said, please do NOT use your golf cart to travel to or from the wedding ceremony or reception. We will provide additional transportation for wedding-related events. Please check back closer to the wedding date to receive additional information on that transportation.

Question

Can we bring our children?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we have decided to keep our wedding ceremony and reception an adults-only event with the exception of some immediate family. Still, this occasion is as much your vacation as it is a chance to celebrate! So, please feel free to bring your children to the resort if you would like to make this a family trip, but please prepare arrangements for the wedding day if you choose to do so.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Unless your invitation explicitly indicates that you have a plus-one, the guest list is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those whose names are listed on the invitations. We appreciate your understanding.

Question

What currency does the Dominican Republic use?

Answer

The Dominican Republic uses pesos. If you plan to spend all your time at Casa de Campo, you will be able to get by with your Credit Card and U.S. dollars (there is no need to exchange dollars to pesos). If you plan to venture off the resort at all and need to exchange dollars to pesos, we recommend either using an ATM machine or going through the resort. The airport currency exchange booths never offer the best rate. Also, keep in mind that the exchange rate fluctuates daily, and at the moment of typing this answer (11/26/23) the rate is $1USD = 56.70 Dominican presos.
