Thessaloniki

If you land in Thessaloniki it is worth spending a day shopping at Tsimiski street or Cosmos Mall, trying some traditional Gyros or Souvlaki for lunch, walking around the promenade with some ice-cream, going for a drink and some bites at night at Ladadika. We recommend trying Greek mousaka or pastitsio and tzatziki at Palati restaurant (reservations recommended) for some traditional bouzouki music and Greek dancing! If you want to spend a day by the beach we recommend allocating some extra days to visit Chalkidiki area. The beaches near Thessaloniki are not the cleanest. If you still insist (hehe) you can take a taxi from Thessaloniki to Bloom Beach Bar in Nea Kalikrateia.
