Andrew and Nicollette met when they were very young in middle school. They weren't close friends but they knew each other through sports - Andrew's mom (Karin) was Nicollette's cheering coach. The years went on and they went to high school together (1 year apart). Saw each other at parties and other social gatherings. They both went on to college and knew nothing about each other's lives. Nicollette worked as the manager at Cyclebar Closter when one day Andrew who had just moved home from DE needed a part time job. It was like old times as Nicollette interviewed Andrew who she knew had already gotten the job. After months of working together, the two hit it off and realized how similar yet different they were and how well they complimented one another. Friendly competition on the bike turned into a love story for the books. There is a lot more to the story, but if you know, you know!
On a rainy morning, Nicollette and Andrew set out to play a round of golf with Nicollette's dad (Frank) and her brother (also, Frank). It was like any other morning going to play - a stop at the bagel store, arriving at the course 45 minutes early to roll some putts. Not many people were out on the course because of the weather, but we were ready to play! After a long round of Andrew checking his bag 100+ times to make sure "the ring is in the koozie" he was confident walking up to the 18th hole. With our friend Bobby Stormer hanging out in the snack shack, photographing the whole thing, Andrew sank the putt (for par). We all shook hands like we also do (it is a gentleman's game) and set up to take our traditional foursome picture when Nicollette turned around to Andrew on his knee. A lot of tears and excitement, she said yes! Little did she know that wasn't the only surprise Andrew had pulled off. After a few drinks at the course celebrating, we drove home. Upon turning onto Nicollette's parents street, there were 35+ people outside her house - bells and whistles in hand. With A LOT of tequila, the rest was history! Thank you to everyone who made this day possible. We are beyond grateful for all of you and cant wait to see you in Wildwood in November 2024!
