Nicole and Zachary originally met in 2017 during their freshman year at the University of Oklahoma while attending an event at Hillel. They instantly liked each other and hung out a few times. But Zachary was in a fraternity, and Nicole, not appreciating the "fratty vibes," turned him down. In the years that followed, Nicole became an active member of Hillel, while Zachary avoided it like the plague. Fun Fact: One night in 2019, while Nicole was working as a server at BJ's Brewhouse, the Rosen clan visited. Unbeknownst to Nicole, Zachary pointed her out to his parents, saying that she was "the girl who got away." Nicole graduated in December 2020 and moved back to Dallas in June 2021. The funny part is, as soon as Nicole left Oklahoma, Zachary became an active member of Hillel during his Master's years. Zachary decided to move to Dallas after he graduated with his Master's in May 2022. Fast forward to May of 2024. Nicole and Zachary matched on Hinge, an online dating app. When Zachary asked her out, Nicole's sharp response was: "Well, have you matured since college?" He smoothly countered with, "I think so, but I would like to show you." As they planned the date, they discovered they live in the SAME apartment complex, the Village Dallas! They had their second, first date for sushi in Dallas, and the rest is history. Zachary proved that he had, indeed, matured since college, and they both learned that the universe just needed a few more years to get its timing right. See you under the chuppah!
