Trevor felt the timing was right to leave his native California nearly four years ago. He had a love for the South from the country music he had been exposed to by his grandmother at a young age. That love of music and the South led him to take a job at Creature Comforts Brewing Company in Athens—where place, art, and career easily intersected. Trevor fell in love with Athens and decided to make it home. Nicolette, a native Georgian, came to Athens to attend UGA and decided to make it her home after graduation. After over a decade in the Classic City, Nicolette has established friends that are family and has rooted herself in the Athens community through love, altruism, and creativity—embodying everything this small Georgia town is built upon. Nicolette and Trevor first met over a game of cornhole, but Nicolette is the first to tell you Trevor didn’t pay attention to her. They crossed paths a few more times until finally spending time together again amongst friends at a bar. From then on they became inseparable, moving in together after a few months, buying a house a year later, adopting animals, and melding their two lives in Athens together.
