Travel Note
On Monday morning (around 10-11 am) we will have a shuttle that will bring people back from Guadalupe Tuscany Resort to the main train station in Rome (Roma Termini). In addition, there are multiple direct daily trains from Montepescalli Train Station, which is less than a mile from the resort, to Roma Termini. The train is about 2- 2.5 hours depending on which time you depart; however, the schedule is available in google maps and is run by Trenitalia. From Roma Termini, there is a direct train to Naples(Napoli Centrale) every 30 minutes which only takes about 1 hour
Travel Note
Choices for getting to Sorrento/Positano from Naples are: - Direct Private transfer, which can be arranged by googling a private transfer, taxi, or arranging with your hotel/Airbnb. - Ferry from either Naples or Salerno. If taking the ferry from Naples, you will need to take one more metro stop from the Naples station to the Universita subway station and walk the 5 minutes to the pier. From there, you can take the ferry to Sorrento, and then to Positano. Another choice is to take the train past Rome to Salerno, and then a direct ferry to Positano from there. Both are similar in length. - Bus to Sorrento/Positano. The SITA busses run from the main train station in Naples to Sorrento, and then transfer to the bus from Sorrento that will take you to Positano. We do not recommend this (we’ve done it before!) because the traffic can get pretty bad, and the drive is definitely scary coming around the top of cliffs on the Amalfi Coast! Questions? Travel Note
From the Montepescalli Train Station, which is less than a mile from the resort, there are multiple trains throughout the day that run to Florence Main Train Station(Firenze Santa Maria Novella), which is right in the center of Florence. The total train time is about 2.5-3 hours depending on which time you depart and stops in Pisa where you will need to make the change for the train to Florence. We would recommend taking a few hours and exploring Pisa while you are there! Otherwise , it looks to be between a 10–20-minute wait between trains to Florence. The schedule is available in google maps and is run by Trenitalia, so you will be able to look up the best times to depart. Reach out to Scott and Nicolette if you have any questions!
