It all started at a sunny day party thrown by a mutual friend—one of those rare moments that felt both spontaneous and a little bit meant-to-be. It was my sophomore year and Josh’s senior year of college, just after the world had started opening back up post-COVID. People were finally gathering again, and little did we know, that afternoon would be the beginning of everything. Josh happened to stop by the party… with his parents in tow! So yes, I technically met his parents before I officially met him (no pressure, right?). I, Nikki, spotted him and decided to break the ice with a quick joke—definitely a bold move, but it worked.
