Carlos was my first friend when I moved to DC. I met Carlos at church and found out that we work on the same military base. We love to meet up weekly to eat food, chat about life and sports, and support each other with life’s highs and lows. Fun fact - I talked to Carlos about my interest in asking Nicolette out on a 1st date. I’m happy that I have a close friend for life.

As a member of the Three Musketeers, we have been friends for 12 years. We met in college at the University of Baltimore through Nick & became friends. We enjoy adventurous activities by exploring cities, trying new food, going to comedy shows, or enjoying time joking around with Nick. Elenalee has been a great support system to me & my family.

We have been friends since 9th grade at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. I was happy and surprised to learn that we lived one street away from each other. We love to talk about cars, go to car shows, and go on joyrides together. We love to meet up to watch new movies and eat good food. Jose helped introduce me to various music genres and recreational sports - lots of tennis practice.

As a member of the Three Musketeers, I met Nick back in 9th grade at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. We love playing video games , going to game nights with friends, and exploring new attractions in the city. We have a unique father-and-son relationship as we both regard each other as our son lol. Nick brings humor to the Three Musketeers, and Elenalee and I have a great time laughing from funny conversations.

When I moved to Gaithersburg, MD, I was able to catch up and spend time with Ricky again. Ricky helped me get connected to Capital Rivers Church during the COVID era. We enjoy weightlifting, watching sports, and getting dinner together. I admire our deep conversations about life, and Ricky provides encouragement, love, and prayers to me. Ricky enjoys picking me up to give me a hug … someday I will get strong like Ricky to do the same lol.

I met Antonio at church when I moved to DC. We became friends quickly and found a common love for billiards and food. We are competitive and enjoy playing together. We enjoy chatting and talking about life. We offer support, encouragement, and brotherhood to each other in life. Both of us look forward to hitting the gym together in the near future.

My bestest friend that I could ever ask for. The queen of forever sleepovers, YouTube/movie marathons, and spontaneous Pizza Hut + cinnamon roll dinners. After meeting for the first time as teenagers, I declared our best friendship at a church volunteer event, and the rest is history. We are practically sisters now, and I can’t imagine not having her by my side for this celebration.

Jenica has been an integral friend in my life since we first met in 2016. I can remember praying and crying with Jenica back in college together for “my future husband” before moving to DC was ever a thought in my mind. Now we’ve not only been prayer buddies, but we’ve been roommates, and I was even a bridesmaid for her wedding. Jenica has always been an inspiration to me and she has a killer sense of humor (she always sends the funniest GIFs). Couldn’t be happier to celebrate with my old roommie.

I couldn’t get a good read on if Brittany liked me when we first started working together… until one day I sneezed at her desk while she was training me and she scolded me. And just like that we became friends. Brittany is now an indispensable friend in my life who keeps me on my toes with her sarcasm, feeds me lunch, and invites me into her life with incredible compassion and love.

Can’t forget my ride or die DC roommate Edima. She will instill a fire in you like no other friend, and she sticks out to me as my friend who will call out injustice, inspire me to stand up for myself, and encourage me with one of her quintessential roommate bonding nights (most likely with dinner, reality TV, and a drink). My girl knows how to throw a party, and I know I have amazing support with her by my side.

Evie and I have known each other since we were in high school in the same teen ministry at our church. We went from studying the bible together to eventually becoming roommates in college, where we would live our best semi-quarantined college lives for one year. Evie is an impeccably witty and fun force to be reckoned with. None shall challenge her love for a good TV series, an enthralling book, or a yummy gluten-free cake from Shyndigz. Can’t wait to celebrate with this fiery gal.

My girl Nneka quickly became my home girl after I graduated college in Richmond. She was an adaptive friend who could sit in silence with me, dig into spiritual topics, or even just host me. Her incredible love and support has helped me through very tough times, and I’ve spent many a night either on her floor, her couch, or even her own bed. Nothing is off the table for a woman that loves this deeply and genuinely.
