Our story begins in High School when we were just babies. We were friends with the same groups of people, and although neither of us would say we were super close, tons of pictures together, and yearbook inscriptions would tell you otherwise. In the years post high school we followed along with each others lives through social media until we reconnected in June of 2020, seven years after graduating. I was invited by our friend Riley to join a group of friends at a cabin they were visiting in Coeur d'Alene, where I was living at the time. Nathan will tell you that as soon as I walked in, he became very aware of his outfit and that his hair was in two little french braids. We spent all of dinner only talking to each other. When I joined our friends at the cabin, we all went on a freezing cold boat ride. It was a perfect excuse for us to share a blanket and a bottle of tequila to stay warm. We spent the rest of the night talking and flirting, and trying to guess if the other one had butterflies too. We knew shortly after that weekend that we were both very interested in each other. We spent the following nights FaceTiming each other into the early mornings. Nathan offered to drive five hours for his next haircut, and I agreed to join him and his friends for 4th of July weekend. After that trip, it was very clear to both of us that we were entering a long distance relationship. The next 6 months were filled with driving and flying back and forth, quarantining, covid testing, and more Facetimes than we could possibly count, before I finally made the move to Tacoma for us to start our lives together. We have spent the last year living together, with our puppy Kimchi, and falling more and more in love every single day. On December 26th, 2021 Nathan asked me to marry him, and it was the best day of my life. We are so excited to share our love story with you, and even more excited to share our wedding day.
