Nick and Nicole met through an online dating website. After scouring through hundreds (ok, maybe not hundreds) of profiles, Nick took a second look at Nicole’s profile. They both had a love of reading and working out. Unlike any other courtship that had come prior, Nick and Nicole talked online for three months before agreeing to meet each other for a romantic date in the New Orleans’ neighborhood of Marigny. When Nick initially saw Nicole, he recalled thinking "there's no way she could be my date. She's out of my league." It was only when Nicole waved at Nick that he realized he was picking up the proper person. Nick took Nicole to a rustic Italian restaurant named Adolfo's, where Nicole discussed her adventures in Court and her love of dancing. Nick discussed living in downtown New Orleans and his love of gaming. After dinner, Nick and Nicole walked through an arts and craft market and ventured into a live music venue to enjoy the singing of a prior American Idol contestant. It was an absolutely amazing first date. For the next three years, Nicole and Nick spent time together at bookstores, New Orleans' music festivals and other events. On November 7, 2021, Nick took Nicole out to dinner again, but this time, went to the same curb where they met for their first date. Nick pulled out a ring box, and said "the first night I picked you up was the best night of my life. Will you marry me?" Nicole replied with a very loud YES and hugged Nick so tightly he nearly dropped the ring box. Nick and Nicole are now looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together.
